Malin Olsson

From Skattungbyn to the Miss Universe stage

Malin Olsson grew up in Skattungbyn, Orsa and first gained national attention when she won Miss Sweden in 2001. After winning Miss Sweden, she went on to represent Sweden at Miss Universe 2001 in Puerto Rico.

In 2005, she was recruited to start her TV career at the music channel The Voice TV. She later joined SVT, where she became a familiar face to younger audiences as the presenter of the children’s show Bobster.

Since 2010, she has presented SVT’s long-running summer programme Sommarlov. She has also hosted SVT’s game show Minuten. Between 2015 and 2024, she hosted SVT’s Vem bor här?
