Orsayran

– A 35 year old one-time occurrence

Orsayran is the festival that was supposed to be a one-time event but which came to roll on and has passed 35 years!

It was added as a way to celebrate Orsa's newly renovated center on Pentecost 1984. The idea came up that instead of scenes, street music would be played. It was so much fun that we still haven´t stopped playing.

The street music festival gives a good picture of the attitude to music in Orsa. Genre-free, permissive – everyone can participate – and fun!
